Austria
“Zeit!Raum” (http://www.zeitraum.org/) is a non-governmental and non-profit association. It was
founded in 1995 in Vienna and started its work with public social and animation work in
Vienna. Since then, it has initiated and supported various socio-cultural projects
throughout Austria. Starting with youth and social educational work, “Zeit!Raum” has
developed innovative gender and integration projects. “Zeit!Raum” is also coordinating
social science research assignments.

Cyprus
Intercollege (http://www.intercollege.ac.cy/) is the largest private institution in Cyprus with over
4500 students. It is an independent, co-educational, equal opportunity institution of higher
education, which offers a wide range of programs to students from around the world.

Germany
The Deutsches Institut für Erwachsenenbildung e. V. (DIE) (http://www.die-bonn.de/) belongs to
the Leibniz Association and is funded jointly by the Federal and State governments. The
DIE acts as a link between academic theory and practical work in adult education, provides
the basis for research based on practice and develops innovative approaches. It is one of
the main representatives for German adult education on international level.

Slovakia
The Institute for Sociology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (http://www.sociologia.sav.sk/) is a
public (budgetary) organization and was re-established in 1990 (originally founded in
1965), after 15 years of being incorporated into the Institute of Philosophy. The goal of the
Institute is both to study contemporary problems of Slovak society and to deal with
theoretical and methodological issues of sociology.

Sweden
Kunskapsbolaget Integra (http://www.integra-ab.se/) was founded in March 1995. The
main focus is coaching and on-job training for immigrants getting integrated into the
Swedish society and the labour market.

Turkey
The Şişli Municipality (http://www.sislibelediyesi.com/) has 450.000 inhabitants, is a local
government and a district of Istanbul. The European Union Center was established in 2005
by Şişli Municipality in order to inform and make people conscious about European
Union with the ongoing process and to lead some projects related to the EU integration process
as a local government and to facilitate common activities with the other municipalities of
EU member countries
